Experience Louisiana Festival Big Success

EXPERIENCE LOUISIANA FESTIVAL

OCTOBER 18, 2015

The weather was perfect for the start of the all new Experience Louisiana festival on the campus of LSU Eunice Saturday and again Sunday. The event was sponsored by the Eunice Rotary Club as a fund raiser for LSU Eunice whose state funding has been drastically reduced.  The crowds of people gathered on the huge campus and enjoyed the foods, live music and dozens of booths of crafts men.

The Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI road crew, Steph and Mark, were there covering the event with a live remote broadcast and we sold red beans and rice. We also sold our brand new KVPI T shirts and La Tasse de café mugs. We got to see and meet with our many Eunice area listeners who came by and visited our broadcast booth.

There was live Cajun and Zydeco music on the main bandstand and a large dance stage. Crafts men were showing demonstrations on black smithing and many other crafts. There was a large classic car show organized by John R., Young.

From all indications, it was a huge success.
