Local Meat Markets Honored in Boudin Cook Off

BOUDIN COOKOFF

OCTOBER 18, 2015

 

    The annual Boudin Cook Off was held Saturday at Parc San Souci in Lafayette and two Evangeline Parish business won top honors at the event.

    The coveted “People’s Choice” award where the public votes ont heir favorite boudin gave the honors for the fifth year in a row to T-Boy’s Meat Market in Mamou. Coming in second was Menard’s Cajun Grocery in Duson.

   Entering for the first time, Teet’s Food Store in Ville Platte won First Place honors ; Second Place-Janice’s Supermarket in Sunset and Third Place- Menard’s Cajun Grocery in Duson.

   Congratulations to our local businesses for doing well in the competition.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
