New District Governor addresses Ville Platte Rotary Club Tuesday

      The Ville Platte Rotary Club today (Tuesday) heard from new District 6200 Governor Mike Hayes. Hayes, a resident of Westlake, shared his thoughts about Rotary and its values. He explained the Rotary 4 Way Test and how it expresses the rotary values of honesty and integrity, promote fairness and good will and how it is beneficial to the community. The Governor commented that Rotary builds leadership skills for its members.

     In other business, Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine and the Rotary Club presented farewell gifts to longtime Rotarian Mark Suellentrop who is being transferred to Franklin. He has been the manager at Cabot, Ville Platte plan for the past seven years and has been very active in the club and community.

    Also, Club President Mitch Fontenot announced that the new member induction ceremony will be held at the November 3 meeting.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
