Early Morning Fire Claimed Life of Eldery Ville Platte Resident

An early morning mobile home  fire claimed the life of an elderly Ville Platte resident, according to Ville Platte Fire Chief Ted Demourelle. Chief Demoruelle told KVPI News that the identity of the fire victim is being withheld until next of kin has been notified. The fire department was called out to the fire at 1:01 this morning at the 200 block of East Wilson Street in Ville Platte.  By the time firefighters arrived, the fire was fully involved. A total of 12 fire fighters responded to the early morning fire. Chief Demourelle suspects the heating system played a part in the cause of the fire.
