KVPI August Weather Stats

 

 

 

 

 

     The month of August 2011 is now history and what a month it was. According to our KVPI weather instruments, the Ville Platte area only received .59 of an inch of rain for the entire month. In fact, we only had three days of measurable rain for the month. We had 11 days of 100+ degree days during the month. The hottest day of the month was August 18 where the temperature sizzled at 107 degrees. The coolest day of the month was August 29 where it got down to 71 degrees.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
