Evangeline Parish Deputies Discovered Ville Platte Man dead while Cutting Beans

 

 

 

 

       Evangeline Parish authorities were called out Saturday just before noon  about a man discovered dead while cutting beans. A spokesman for Evangeline Parish Sheriff Eddie Soileau identified the victim as James Greg Arvie, age 51 of Ville Platte. Witnesses tell deputies that Arvie was on a tractor cutting beans when he apparently suffered a heart attack. Someof the witnesses noticed the tractor driving eratic. They attempted to reach him on his two way but he never answered their calls. The tractor ended up in a canal. The Evangeline Parish Coroner was called out at 12:33 and pronounced him dead of natural causes.
