Radio Fund Raiser for Dixie Youth 12 Year Old All Stars Successful

 

 

 

 

     Coach Smiley Fontenot  with the Dixie Youth 12 year old all stars would like to thank the businesses, politicians and  individuals who made pledges during the KVPI Radio Fund Raiser this morning. The team was able to raise approximately $5800 in pledges. KLFY TV Ten was here along with Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine during the fund raising drive. The all stars will be representing Ville Platte and Louisiana in the Dixie Youth World Series this weekend in North Carolina. KVPI will be broadcasting live at the World Series bringing these games back home to Ville Platte.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
