A Hot and Dry July

 

 

 

 

 

       The month of July was another dry one in the Ville Platte area according to our KVPI weather records. We recorded a total of  5.19 inches of rain for the month of July. The wettest day was July 16 where we recorded 2.81 inches of rain. We had a total of 9 days of measurable rain.

       It was another warm month. We had three 100 degree plus days. The hottest day was July 13 where registered 101 degrees.

       The coolest day of the month was 72 degrees on July 7.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
