Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

 

 

 

 

            Dannie Lee Lafleur, Jr. age 21, of Ville Platte, LA appeared in the court of Honorable Thomas F. Fuselier on Thursday, July 7, 2011, and pleaded not guilty to charges of First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.  The trial has been scheduled for October 31, 2011.   The charges stem from an incident which occurred on or about May 6, 2011, wherein Lafleur broke into a local business located on Main Streetin Ville Platte, Tat Nails, and robbed and shot and killed the owner, Tuc Thanh Do.

 

            Also designated as a companion case to Lafleur’s is Denzel Frank, age 20, of Ville Platte, LA, who also pleaded not guilty to charges of Armed Robbery, Possession of an Unidentifiable Firearm and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.  In another companion case involving this matter, Jeannie Mallee Fontenot, age 41, of Mamou, LApleaded not guilty to the charge of Accessory to Armed Robbery on May 19, 2011.  Both trials are also scheduled for October 31, 2011.
