2011 Crawfish Etoufee Cook Off Success

        The 2011 Crawfish Etoufee Cookoff for the benefit of the Belaire Cove Chapel was a resounding success. Large crowds attended the Sunday event. Seventeen teams participated in the cookoff. Here are the results of the cookoff judging:

 

First Place- Papa Gator’s Team-Chief Cook Darrelyn Lachney

Second Place- David and the B.A. (Beautiful Angels)-Chief Cook David Hull

Third Place-Lonnie and Eric-Chief Cook Lonnie Sonnier

 

      Randy Deshotel was awarded the Best Decorated Booth-Chief Cook Chad Soileau. The trophy for Most Original Booth was awarded to the Wood Runners-Chief Cook-Donald Vidrine.

      In the Washerboard Tournament, First Place honors were won by Jared Vidrine and Tyler Vidrine; Second Place- Grant Lee and Patrick Donovan; Third Place was won by Baily Fontenot and Junior.

      The organizers for the annual event would like to thank all who participated in the competition, all who volunteered time and resources and everyone who attended.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
