Fairview drops 12-1 game to Florien
Haley Christine Perkins went 2-2 at the plate, but Fairview fell 12-1 to Florien at Frasch Park on Saturday.
Abbey McMillian recorded the win for Florien. She allowed one run over five innings. Abbey struck out five, walked three and gave up five hits.
Adrianna Phillips, Kaitlin Davis, Bailey McCleary and Ryleigh Rutherfordhelped lead Florien. They combined for nine hits and 10 RBIs.
Sarah Gordon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 12 runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
Florien didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an RBI single by Bailey.
Florien increased its lead with five runs in the fourth. Bailey kicked things off with a single, scoring Caitlyn Corley. That was followed up by Kaitlin's triple, scoring Bailey and Gracie Sylvia.
Fairview scored its only run of the game when Adelle Smith was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning.
