Sports Update

    In a game broadcast live on 92.5 KVPI, the Sacred Heart High Lady Trojans lost to Cedar Creek Academy 14-0 .

   KVPI Sports plans to broadcast the Pine Prairie High Lady Panthers as they take on Kaplan in the quarterfinals at the state softball tournament in Sulpher. Game time Friday is 2:30pm Friday live on 92.5 KVPI FM. If the Lady Panthers win, they move on to the semi finals Saturday at 2;00pm and the finals at 7:00pm Saturday and we will be there with KVPI Sports Announcer Tracy Jagneaux.

  In high school baseball action, the Sacred Heart Trojans hosts St. Martin Episcopal in a best 2 out of 3 tournament. First game Friday at 4:30pm, game two  at 11;00am Saturday and if need be a game three at 3:00pm.

   The Pine Prairie High Panthers will travel north to take on #1 ranked Sterlington  in a best 2 out of 3 tournament: Friday at 6:00pm, Saturday at 1;00pm and if need be 4;00pm.

    Eunice High will host North Vermillion in a best 2 out of 3 tournament. Game one is 6:00pm Friday, Saturday at 12 noon and if need be at 3:00pm for game 3.

   St. Edmunds travels to play St. Johns. Game one was Thursday night at 5;00pm. Game two at 4;00pm Friday and if need be a game 3 Friday at 7;00pm.

    Opelousas Catholic will host University Academy of Central Louisiana  in a best 2 out of 3. Game 1 Friday at 4:30pm, game 2 Saturday at 11;00am and if need be 2;00pm Saturday.
