Dixie Youth Game Updates

 

   We had two Ville Platte Dixie Youth All Star teams compete in the first week of official post season tournaments.

    The Ville Platte 8U Pitching Machine All Stars finished in second place in the sub district tournament played in Oakdale. KVPI Sports began our live coverage in bracket play Saturday morning all the way through Sunday afternoon. Here are the bracket play games: Ville Platte defeated Oakdale National 14-7; Game 2-Oakale American beat Ville Platte 8-5; In game 3- Ville Platte beat Vernon Central 10-0 and in the finals Oakdale American beat Ville Platte 17-3. KVPI Sports Announcer Micah Chatman did the play by play games over KVPI FM 92.5

   The Ville Platte 6U T-Ball All Stars competed in a sub district tournament in Leesville this weekend and came out in Third place. Here are the scores of the games: Thursday- Ville Platte defeated Oberlin 21-4; Friday- Ville Platte beat Vernon National- 17-12; Saturday’s game- Oakdale beat Ville Platte 19-18 and the final game Southern National defeated Ville Platte 18-17.

   Next weekend, the Ville Platte Super Ten’s all stars will host a sub district tournament at the Ville Platte Recreational complex. The Ville Platte 12 year old Dixie Majors have the weekend off and will by pass sub district competition because they will host their own District tournament on June 29.
