Update on the Ville Platte 8 year old all stars playing in Moss Bluff in the District Tournament, Ville Platte beat Sulpher 20-4 in a game broadcast over KVPI AM Friday. They will next play at 1:00pm on KVPI FM today with KVPI Sports Announcer Micah Chatman.

Here is an update on the Girls Pony League Sectional tournament going on at the Ville Platte Recreational Complex: The Ville Platte 6 and under girls all stars Friday: Ville Platte 16 Moss Bluff 12 in the first game; Game two: Ville Platte 15 and St Landry Youth Association 9. Good luck to all our all star girls. If you have any scores from our local girls teams. Please send to us to so we can announce them and post them.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
