Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire’s show in San Francisco was canceled last minute Thursday night due to a “medical emergency” involving a member of the band.

Earth, Wind & Fire announced the news in a social media post just minutes before the concert was set to begin at the Chase Center.

“We are unable to perform as scheduled tonight at Chase Center in San Francisco due to a medical emergency involving a member of our band,” the message read. “As a result, tonight’s show with Lionel Richie will be rescheduled, with a new date to be announced soon.”

“Ticket holders should retain their tickets, which will be honored for the new date, or refunds will be available at the point of purchase,” the statement added. “We sincerely apologize for the unexpected change and appreciate everyone’s understanding.”

No word on which band member was sick.

Back in June, Lionel Richie had to postpone two concerts after falling ill onstage during the first night of the tour.

The tour’s next scheduled date is Saturday in Palm Desert, California.
