A new documentary about late Rush drummer Neil Peart is set to air on Canada's CBC.

The film, titled Neil Peart: No One's Disciple, will premiere Sept. 23. According to a press release, it will explore "the artistry and enduring influence of Rush's enigmatic drummer and lyricist through rare archival footage, intimate reflections and extraordinary live performances."

"An all-star lineup of acclaimed drummers joins [Rush bassist/vocalist] Geddy Lee and [guitarist] Alex Lifeson to tackle Peart's notoriously demanding drum parts, revealing the musicianship behind one of rock's most original artists," the description continues.

Peart died in 2020 at age 67. He last played with Rush on the final date of the band's farewell tour in 2015.

Rush announced their reformation in 2025, with Lee and Lifeson joined by new drummer Anika Nilles. The band's comeback Fifty Something tour launched in June and will continue through North America into December.

In other Rush happenings, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its Rush to the Rock Hall fan experience, taking place Sept. 17-20 at the Cleveland museum. Attendees can take part in Rush trivia, a few band artifacts and archival footage.

Rush was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2013.
