Pet of the Week Archives for 2017-09

Chachi is a 2.5-ish year old Bassador. He has that gorgeous yellow labrador head and body sitting on a basset hound's short and stubby legs. He's both really pretty and also a little bit funny to look at. Oh, and I have to add that he has the softest, bunny like fur. Feels fantastic!

Chachi is a well behaved and relatively calm dog. He's not the type to bark for no reason either. He is a great dog to have around the house - a great protector of his space.

He is not overly playful. He likes to be around his people but he doesn't need a ton of affection. Chachi is good around children, but not really known to want to run and play with them. When let out of the backyard, he stays close to the house and family - doesn't run off.

Chachi is a healthy boy - he's been on heartworm prevention his entire life (with the exception of a few months). He was heartworm negative when we got him and he is still on monthly prevention now.

Chachi is up to date on vet care and ALREADY NEUTERED!
He is a perfect dog for someone wanting a sweet, calm, and low maintenance buddy.

Let us know if you would like to meet this handsome fellow!  831-1700

Looking for foster or adopter.

This is Balto, he's 16lbs and 5-6 months old,.....he is STILL waiting for his future family to find him and adopt him.

This is what his foster mom has to say about him:

No clue what kind of pup he is, but he's extremely sweet and lovable! I found him at work, where I watched someone dump him. I'd say he's going to be a medium size dog. He was very shy at first, but he grew out of his shell, and I couldn't love him more.

He's extremely good with dogs, cats, and children. He's still a puppy, so, of course, he still jumps a little when he gets excited. He loves to chew right now, because he's teething, so he needs lots of bones and toys!

I am most impressed with his trainability! He has had very few accidents in the house! The ones he did have were my fault. At first, I did not kennel him, and I would be gone all day without any "presents" in the house. Now I kennel him to get him use to it for whoever will adopt him. He already knows how to sit and responds when you call his name; we're working on "shake" right now.

He sleeps with me every night and sleeps at my feet whenever I sit. He would make an excellent inside or outside dog and would be a perfect addition to any family. He's truly a great companion, and I would love to keep him for myself!

Please share to help find Balto a home! 831-1700

This gorgeous little thing is Willow.

She is about 16 weeks old and appears to be a lab or weinaraner mix.

She's pretty well potty trained. She uses the doggy door to go out and potty.

She sits for treats, and loves being next to her foster family......or on top of them would be even better.

Willow was found close to death as a stray. She had been attacked by another animal and had injuries, infections, and abscesses. She's been in recovery for quite some time and is now ready for adoption.

Let us know if you'd like to meet Willow.

***the last photo picture is how she was found.  831-1700

We have had no hint as to who might have owned this guy, and the finders can't hold on to him for a long time......so.....he will be put up for ADOPTION.

here is what the finders say about him:

He appears to be very smart he was obviously in a house before because he knows about sitting on the furniture and how to ride in a truck inside the cab ???? he knows how to shake hands and listens well when you say "no" he's very friendly with our dogs and plays well with even our tiny miniature dachshund! He's very active and needs a yard! He appears to be kinda young he's still in the puppy kinda stage where he wants to jump on you but when we tell him no he listens well he loves people! Very sweet and friendly!  831-1700
