Pine Prairie Police arrest local woman on drug Charges

Pine Prairie Police arrests local woman on drug charges July 26, 2020 A Pine Prairie woman was arrested by local police on drug charges , according to a news release by Pine Prairie Police Chief L.C. Deshotel. The suspect was identified as Stacey Babin age 36. She was charged with possession of Marijuana and Crystal Meth and possession of drug paraphernalia The arrest took place on Saturday July 11 when police received a complaint about a juvenile in possession of what appeared to be marijuana. Upon further investigation, Officer Eckhart made contact with the mother of the juvenile, Stacy Bain. That is when police discovered she was in possession of what is believed to be drugs. The suspect was transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail on a $9,000 bond set by Judge Gary Ortego. Chief Deshotel urges Pine Prairie citizens to report any suspicious activity and thanks the public for the information received.
