The Ville Platte Rotary Club held their first weekly meeting since mid March due to Covid-19. The club is now holding their weekly noon luncheons at Café Evangeline.
New President Peter Strawitz conducted the meeting. He announced that State Senator Heather Cloud will be the guest speaker at next week's meeting.

The new president is promoting a possible new springtime event for club members called a "Peace Picnic" where members and their families would gather at a local park and enjoy a pleasant evening together.
The new club officers are: President Peter Strawitz, President Elect Michael Lemoine, Vice President Jimmy LeBlanc, Treasurer Annette Johnson and Secretary Barbara Buroker, Song Master and Sgt. At Arms Dr. Joey Soileau. Board members include: Eric Gil, Larry Lachney, Bob Manuel, Wayne Vidrine and Nicole Wenger.
