October begins Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on Monday, October 2nd, Bras on the Bayou celebrated their fourth year of fundraising. The event was held at the Steam Boat restaurant, in Washington. Within days of advertising, tickets were all sold out, but KVPI was lucky enough to grab a ticket. The night's festivities included door prizes, a dance off, a bra decorating contest, fine dining, inspiring stories, and fireworks to close out. The bra decorating competition and the parade of bras, modeled by men, raised $629.00 for cancer research. The winner of the bra decorating contest was crowned "Queen Ta Ta" and the inspiring design was "Take care of your pumpkins". Bras on the Bayou, and it's hard working volunteers, want to thank everyone who helped make this year's fundraiser a success
