Ville Platte 10U All Stars Girls Honored Sunday night at Civic Center

 

      The Ville Platte 10 and under girls all- stars, who captured the USSSA World Series Championship Title last month in Gulf Shores, Alabama were honored by the City of Ville Platte and numerous sponsors with a special banquet.

     Head Coach Nick LeBas thanked the entire community for their support throughout the season. Also speaking were Assistant Coaches Gene Latour, Joe Bordelon and Brian Bergeron along with Team Mom Julie Bergeron. All of the girls and coaches received special gifts from the sponsors. James Shiver, who called all of the games for KVPI Sports received a gift. Also speaking was Shane Darbonne, President of Ville Platte Girls Recreational Association.

     In attendance at the banquet were Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine, Clerk of Court Randy Deshotel, Police Jurors Kevin Veillon and Brian Vidrine along with Fr. Mitch Guidry, pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Church.

    The players included: Amelia Bergeron, Madalie Bertrand, Hailey Bordelon, Emily Jesclard, Denay Lachney, Alexis Lafleur, Sophee Latour, Lacie LeBas, Laila Lewis, Layla McElwee, Victoria Spears and Kenzie Stevens.

    After the presentation of gifts and talks, a highlights video from the World Series games was shown on a big screen for those in attendance

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
