Shooting suspect charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder

 

 

UPDATE: Shooting on Buzz Lane


Sheriff Eddie Soileau, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has released the following:


On April 17, 2017 Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office was called out to 1813 Buzz Lane in reference to the shooting of a person.


During the initial investigation, investigators were able to identify Floyd Porche Jr as the shooter. The motive determined was that Floyd Porche Jr. shot at Stacy Porche after having an unsettled dispute amongst family.


Stacy Porche was AirMed to Lafayette General Hospital where she was stabilized and is doing well as of today. Stacy suffered from wounds to her right hand and the left side of her right breast area.


Floyd Joseph Porche Jr was arrested and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder. His bond was set at $250,000.00 by 13th Judicial Judge Chuck West.
