Ville Platte Chamber Announces Nominees for 2017 Man and Woman of the Year

 

      Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Camille Fontenot announced the nominees for the 2017 Ville Platte’s Man and Woman of the Year.

      The nominees for Ville Platte Woman of the Year are: Stacy Freeman Jordan who is employed with Ville Platte Probation and Parole and Nina David, an educator at Mamou Elementary School.

      The nominees for Ville Platte Man of the Year are: Rev. Matthew Alfred, local minister, Donald Ray Thomas, local business man, Pat Derouselle, director of the Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission and Leonard Glenn Fontenot, retired Cleco official.

      We will have additional biographical information about each nominee in the next few days.

      Ville Platte’s Man and Woman of the Year for 2017 will be announced at the Chamber of Commerce Civic Awards Banquet Thursday April 27 at the Ville Platte Civic Center.

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
