Perfect weather for Library Book Fest held Saturday

The annual Book Fest was held today at the Ville Platte Branch of the Evangeline Parish Public Library. Under clear, sunny skies with a cool, northerly breeze, large crowds of people attended the event. The Friends of the Library had a huge used book sale, pet adoptions, face painting and nearly a dozen authors in attendance. In addition, Alyssa Carson of Baton Rouge, a future astronaut was there. Plenty of delicious food like baked chicken, jambalya and BBQ pork steaks. Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI was there broadcasting live on remote this morning. We have dozens of photos from the event at this link at our website photo gallery: https://classichits925.com/photos/library-book-fest-october-8
