KEEP EVANGELINE BEAUTIFUL DISCUSSED AT ROTARY MEETING

OCTOBER 27, 2015

Becky Buller and Susan LaHaye were both guest speakers at today (Tuesday) Rotary Club meeting. They represent a 13 member  group appointed by the Evangeline Parish Police Jury to combat the growing problem littering on parish roads and highways.

The two are asking for help in their efforts to educate the residents and especially young people. Buller praised the Rotary Interact Club from Sacred Heart in their clean up efforts recently at the Native Plant Garden.

Buller and LaHaye commended the city of Ville Platte and the police jury for their efforts. The committee is asking groups and clubs to adopt various parish roads in the parish to help keep it clean.

LaHaye read an inspirational call to action asking local residents to have pride in their neighborhoods and communities to take part in the clean up efforts.
