September Weather

 

 

 

       It was another dry month for the KVPI listening area in September, according to our KVPI weather instruments. We had a total of 2.94 inches of rain for the month. We had nine days of measurable rain with the wettest day on September when we recorded 1.99 inches of rain.

      On the positive side, we finally saw moderating temperatures after a very hot summer. We had one day in September where the temperature reached 100 degrees and that was on Sept. 1 where it reached 101 degrees. The coolest day of the month was September 7 where the temperature dropped to 54 degrees.

      We had two consecutive days where wind gusted to 32 miles t0 32 miles per hour on Sept. 3 and 4.

Swamp Pop music

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
