La Tasse Reunion was a Big Success Wednesday Night

Despite the rainy weather outside, the annual La Tasse de Cafe Reunion gathering was a big success. The dining area in the rear of Main Street Pizza in Ville Platte was packed with friends, well wishers and listeners of the popular radio program. Listeners from Prairie Rhonde, Mamou, Eunice and other areas attended. Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine and City Councilman Mike Perron welcomed the crowds. Police Juror Eric Soileau from Mamou was also there. One of the highlights were the students from mamou Elementary enrolled in the French Immersion program along with the three Immersion Teachers. The students led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance in French and sang "The Mardi Gras song.
