Evangeline Parish Students of t he Year Visited Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI Today

Ten Evangeline Parish "Students of the Year' honorees visited KVPI studios today. They toured our "on air" FM control room with DJ Josh this afternoon. Each of the students were interviewed and their comments about their favorite school courses and their plans for their future will air Wednesday at 12:30pm on KVPI AM and FM. They will be honored by the Evangeline Parish School Board next week in a special gala at the Ville Platte Civic Center. The students that visited with us include Lairian Breaux of Vidrine, Ainsley Dutton of Bayou Chicot, Prisha Makey of Ville Platte High, Leslie Forman of Ville Platte High, Aubree Guillory of Mamou. Emily Deshotel of Vidrine, Lucan Doucet of Chataignier, Ethan Bergeron of Basile High, Jada Wilson of Ville Platte High and Alayna Charles of Mamou.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
