Both Ville Platte Girls Teams were eliminated today at the USSSA World Series

Here is a final update on our Ville Platte girls competing in the USSSA World Series in Alabama.The Ville Platte 8 U girls all stars lost to Mill Creek Georgia in Game One of Bracket Play and our girls lost 4-1. In game two of bracket play, the all stars of Ville Platte lost to the Mobile all stars 7-2. KVPI 1050 The Legend was able to broadcast their pool play and bracket games.Special thanks to our many sponsors and Coach David Lahaye for his announcing.
The Ville Platte 10U girls competed in the world series and here are the scores: In game one of bracket play, our Ville Platte girls lost to Slidell Warrior Reds 9-3. In game two, the Ville Platte all stars lost to Citronell, Alabama by a score of 5-3. We want to thank Rebecca Ardoin Fontenot from the team who kept us updated on scores.
We want to congratulate both girls teams for representing us well at the World Series. We are very proud of the players, coaches and parents who played like the true champions they are.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
