High School Boys Basketball Results

High School Boys Basketball Playoffs in the first round:

 

From Friday Night action:

Ville Platte High defeated Vidalia 87-62 in a game broadcast on KVPI FM. The Bulldogs advance to the second round. They travel to take on Rayville Tuesday night. KVPI Sports are making arrangements to broadcast this game.

Sacred Heart Trojans lost to St. Johns of Plaquemine 75-31 in another game we covered Friday night.

Madison High beat Mamou 68=61.

White Castle beat Basile 93-30.

Northwest beat Green Oaks 56-47

Westminster beat Catholic of Point Coupee 71-51.

High School Boys Basketball Brackets Released

       The brackets have been released for the start of the Louisiana High School Boys Basketball Playoffs.

       The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has announced the first round Bi District pairings in our area include the following scheduled for Friday night:

Ville Platte High Bulldogs will be hosting Vidalia;

Sacred Heart Trojans will travel to play St. John High in Plaquemine;

Mamou High Green Demons hosts Madison High from Talullah;

Basile High Bearcats travels to play White Castle;

St. Eds travels to play St. Martin Episocopal in Metarie.

   KVPI Sports is making arrangements to carry some of these games . Keep listening for more details.

High School Girls Basketball Score Updates: First Round State Playoffs:

 

Sacred Heart 34 Ouachita Christian 30 in a game broadcast on 92.5 KVPI. Sacred Heart advances to play Cedar Creek in the second round Monday night. KVPI Sports is planning to carry that game Monday night. We do have CD copies of the Sacred Heart game for sale.

High School Basketball Girls Playoffs tonight:

 

Sacred Heart Lady Trojans travel to play Ouachita Christian at 6:00pm in Monroe. KVPI Sports plans to carry this game tonight over 92.5 KVPI FM with Sports Announcer Micah Chatman with pre game at 5;45pm.Ville Platte High Lady Bulldogs travel to play Red River tonight at 6:00pm; Mamou High Lady Green Demons travel to play Iota tonight at 6;00pm and Basile High Lady Bearcats travel to play Kentwood tonight at 7;00pm. Good luck to all of our local teams.

Boudin Bowl #10 broadcast last night on 92.5 KVPI

 

   The 2018 Boudin Bowl is history. KVPI Sports carried this historic game last night on 92.5 KVPI. KVPI Sports Announcer Tracey Jagneaux and Tim Fontenot called the game. The final score: The New England Minutemen beat the Philadelphia Egrets by a score of 38-28. We want to say congratulations to our football pool winners who won prizes at the end of each quarter: First Quarter Jackie Foret; Second Quarter Terry Arnot; Third Quarter- Byron Doucet and Fourth Quarter Winner- Marty Manuel. Our winners will be notified by phone. Special thanks to all our sponsors who donated prizes for our Boudin Bowl giveaway.
