Dixie Youth World Series Update

Dixie Youth World Series Final Score

 

   The Ville Plate Dixie Youth 12 Year All Stars fought hard but ultimately lost against South Carolina in the Dixie Youth World Series in Lexington, South Carolina. The final score was 12-7. South Carolina advances in the elimination bracket while our Ville Platte, Louisiana All Stars come home. The game along with all the games in the World Series was carried on KVPI-FM, Classic Hits 92.5. The only home town radio station sending game coverage back home. We are proud of all stars and their parents and the support of our community. We want to thank our many sponsors for making our game coverage possible. We want to thank Chris Bordelon for doing a great job as Play by Play announcer and his side kick,B.J. Fontenot for providing the interesting color analysis. Lexington, South Carolina will remember Ville Platte for a long time.

Shout Outs to Dixie Youth Team At World Series

KVPI-AM and FM will give our listeners the opportunity to call us up and make on the air shout outs to our Ville Platte Louisiana Dixie Youth All Stars at the Dixie Youth World Series in Lexington, South Carolina. The all stars, parents and coaches will be gathered together and listening on line. The shoutouts will begin at about 12:45 right after our Lets Talk About It interview Monday . You can call us at 363-2124, 363-2125 or 506-2444. If the lines are busy, keep trying to call us. KVPI-FM will carry the next game of the Ville Platte 12 year olds  Monday at 4:45 with pre game at 4:30 with Chris Bordelon and B.J. Fontenot and on line at oldies925.com.

National Pony League Softball Tournament Update

National Pony League Finals Update

 

  The Ville Platte 8 under girls lost to Rayne in extra innings tonight in the National Finals by a score of 19-18 in a close game. The game was carried on KVPI FM 92.5 with Sports Announcer Thomas Scully. Congratulations to our Ville Platte All Star girls, coaches and parents for representing us well in the national tournament.

National Pony League Softball Tournament Update

Dixie Youth Pony National Tournament Update from Youngsville:

 

Last night: The Ville Platte 8 under All Star girls defeated North Vermillion 14-6.

 

This morning, the Ville Platte 8 under All Stars beat Moss Bluff 11-10. They played a second game just before 1:00 today and our girls beat Rayne in extra innings 20-18.

 

The Ville Platte 8 under girls all stars are due to play again at 4:50 today. All of the games have been airing over 92.5 KVPI-FM and on oldies925.com. Good luck to our Ville Platte all star girls.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
