KVPI Sports Update

Congratulations to the Ville Platte 10U all star girls who this afternoon defeated Trussville 6-3 and who have won the USSSA World Series CHAMPS. Ville Platte played the team three times, late last night and lost 9-5, came back and played them at noon and beat them a second time for the championship title. KVPI Sports was there almost since the beginning. We covered 9 games for the team live from Gulf Shores, Alabama with Sports Announcer James Shiver. We are proud to have been able to bring most of the games to family and friends in the Ville Platte area.

KVPI Sports is preparing to cover our Ville Platte 12 year old Dixie Majors and Super Ten year old Dixie Minors all star teams this weekend with tournaments in Ruston. The Ville Platte 12 year olds will play in a Dixie Youth regional tournament with first game Friday night at 7:30pm over KVPI FM with Sports Announcer Micah Chatman. Our Ville Platte 10 year olds will also play in a regional tournament in ruston with first game at 5:30pm over KVPI 1050 AM with Sports Announcer Tracy Jagneaux. Good luck to both all star teams.
