The Ville Platte 8 year old Pitching Machine All Stars played three pool play games today in the Dixie Youth Pitching Machine State Tournament and KVPI covered all three games for listeners and fans back home. Here is the re-cap:


Game 1- Ville Platte over Patterson 18-1; Game 2: Ville Platte over Rapides 14-5; and West Monroe beat Ville Platte in the night cap 8-1. Bracket play begins tomorrow morning and we will be there covering it. As soon as we get start times, we will pass it on to you.

 

The Ville Platte T-Ball all stars are playing in the state T-Ball State Tournament going this weekend in Shreveport. Here is a re-cap of today's action: Game One-Ville Platte defeated Jena 23-7 and in Game two- Alexandria defeated Ville Platte12-4. The action continues in bracket play on Saturday. Good luck to our all stars.

 

Gulf Shores, Alabama will be the scene of the USSSA Girls Softball World Series and Ville Platte will have three girls teams represented there. Starting next week, our Ville Platte 8U and 10U Rec teams will be competing in their respective brackets. KVPI Sports will be covering the Ville Platte 10U girls games. Starting July 19, the Ville Platte 10U Select All Star girls will be competing in the world series and KVPI is making arrangements to carry those games. Doing play by play for the world series will be Sports Announcer James Shiver for family and friends back home in Ville Platte. Good luck to all of our all star girls teams.

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
