Mamou wins district Dixie Youth title

The two best teams in Dixie Youth District Seven met for the third time today in Oberlin. Mamou beat Ville Platte 5-3 to claim the district championship in a game broadcast over Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI with Sports Announcer Tracy Jagneaux. Mamou won the first contest earlier in the week and Ville Platte came back and beat Mamou on Tuesday. Both teams advance to play in the Dixie Youth regional tournament in Morgan City July 22. Good luck to both teams.
